Restore yoga is a relaxing and slow paced class using as few as five or six postures which are held for long periods of time. Props are used to allow the body to be in the most comfortable, supported position as possible. Gentle music is played, and the practice begins with breath work and ends with a meditative sound bath. Reiki is given throughout the restore yoga portion of class.
Restorative yoga stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which slows the heart rate, regulates blood pressure and relaxes the body. As such, Restorative yoga is considered particularly beneficial for those suffering from anxiety, insomnia or headaches, as well as other stress-related conditions. Restorative yoga is believed to boost the immune system and accelerate the body's natural healing process.
IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! Due to Covid regulations, masks must be worn at all times. A temperature reading will be taken to assure the client is fever free. Please bring own props such as a yoga mat, blocks, 3 to 4 blankets or towels, a strap or scarf. Props can no longer be provided to protect from the spread of Covid.
